UGC ORDER – NOW THESE COURSES WILL NOT BE IN DISTANCE MODE
Rules will not be applicable on hotel management in professional courses also in distance mode.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has ordered that from now on, admission in distance mode will not be given in hotel management and real estate courses. It has been banned. An official order said, “Hotel management, culinary studies and real estate courses will not be recognized under distance mode from the next academic session (2019-20) on the basis of negotiations with various regulatory bodies.”
At the same time, it has been said that recognition will be given to such students who are already doing these courses. The UGC had said that the study of professional courses such as medicine, engineering and architecture is not possible through distance mode. After which agriculture was also included.
Let us tell you, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had decided that the degree program in Agriculture (Agriculture) from the new session will not be taught from distance education. Regarding this, the UGC had issued a notice that in the session starting in July 2019, the degree program of Agriculture will be banned from the Open Distance Learning Mode (ODL). UGC had also appealed to all the students including Open University to take note of it.
